Wishing everyone a prosperous 2024…

Just a short post wishing everyone a happy New Year as the first week draws to a close! I’m incredibly excited for this year and what’s in store. If last year is anything to go by, it was a pretty wild ride.

As mentioned, I’m not a massive fan of New Year resolutions, but here are a few things I hope to expand on this year:

Attend some more design events –

Building connections and having face-to-face conversations are invaluable. I hope to get to more events and speak with more like-minded professionals.

Post more personal projects –

I’d love to spend a little time working on some personal projects I can share to demonstrate more skills and showcase more of the services I offer. Unfortunately, a lot of my recent work is confidential and cannot be published.

Experiment with different tools –

This has been quite high on the list for a while now. I’m a huge fan of experimenting with different tools and finding ways to embed them into my workflow. Expect to see more sketching, more 3D modeling, and some more rendering examples.

Explore the power of AI and embed it into my workflow –

I’ve dabbled with a few tools of late, and I’m a big fan of ChatGPT. After watching a few tutorials and attending some online webinars, I’ve been really impressed with some of the results that I’ve seen and some of the ways other designers are utilizing the tool. Again, this will be an experimentation exercise until I find a suitable place in my workflow.

I’m already looking ahead to more exciting projects and collaborations in 2024.
